WEST LAMPUNG, RADARLAMPUNG.CO.ID - Continuing the journey for about 10-15 minutes on foot, tourists will find Nirwana Crater, that's what people call it there.

A geothermal area in the form of water spewing mixed with sulfur which has formed limestone mountains hundreds of years ago. The white smoke that continues to erupt makes an amazing sight.

Unlike other craters, Nirwana Crater emits sulfuric smoke which is completely non-toxic and odorless.

Therefore, tourists can witness this beautiful phenomenon from a short distance. About 10 meters from the center of the explosion.

Stalactites and stalagmites that hang on the cliff sides add to the natural beauty of the valley.

It's called Nirvana because there is a type of tree that grows and lives in the middle of the limestone mountains. Right next to the sulfur hot springs.

The local people mention the Wana tree, so the crater is named Nirwana.

Apart from the Nirnawa crater, there are still small craters scattered at that location. Budhi Marta Utama, a Lampung photographer, calls this area the Valley of the Thousand Craters.
