Maudy cites a book called "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker that can help you sleep more regularly.

"I think this book is really interesting, because there's a lot of scientific research discussions about sleep that are very up to date," she said.

Lack of sleep can have an impact in the long and short term, so you should start improving sleep quality.

Because sleep can have incalculable benefits and the immune system in humans takes time to pause.

Maudy also picked up some important points contained in the book by Matthew Walker, here are five points to pay attention to :

First, when a person experiences less sleep 6 to 7 hours per night it will be possible to get cancer.

"Research shows that if we sleep less than six or seven hours per night, we double our chances of getting cancer," Maudy said.

Secondly, lack of sleep is not good for mental health, because a person will become more emotional when sleep deprived.

Then third, lack of sleep can cause the body to experience stress and be prone to depression or anxiety.

"Lack of sleep is not healthy for our mental health, because the brain is more reactive and our bodies become chronically stressed which becomes more prone to depression or anxiety," maudy continued.

Fourth, when sleep deprived, ghrelin hormone levels will make a person feel hungry quickly.

With adequate sleep, the food we consume is good because it adapts to our appetite choosing food.

But on the contrary, when the body lacks rest, the body feels hungry but at the same time our body is full because there is the hormone leptin.

Lastly, when experiencing lack of sleep after studying overnight, as a result, the material that has been studied is not absorbed properly.

"Sleep is proven to strengthen memory or memory so as to prevent forgetting," said Maudy.
