1. Dewi Kam

Entering the ranks of the richest people in the world, Dewi Kam succeeded in becoming the first woman to be included in the Forbes 2022 list of Indonesia's richest people.

Dewi Kam became the first woman to be included in the list of Indonesia's richest people, with a net worth of USD 2 billion, or the equivalent of IDR 31.2 trillion.

On the Forbes page for Indonesia's 50 Richest category, Dewi Kam managed to rank as the 21st richest person in Indonesia.

The 72-year-old coal entrepreneur is known to have obtained some of his wealth from a minority stake in a coal mining company, namely Bayan Resources.

Even though the world is currently facing a global energy crisis, Dewi Kam's wealth increased when Bayan Resources' shares tripled in value yesterday.
