BANDAR LAMPUNG, RADARLAMPUNG.CO.ID - Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, D.E.A.IPM is the only woman out of the three candidates for Chancellor of the University of Lampung.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, born on May 10, 1965, the child of the married couple Razioen and Dra. Lensiyana.

He is the eldest of six siblings. Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani married to Ir. Yan Juansyah, D.E.A who currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Malahayati University, Bandar Lampung city.

This couple has two children. First, known as dr. Zaraz Obella Nuradliyani, S.Ked (currently continuing her Masters in Work Safety at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia) and second  as Zaraz Elodya Ramadania (student of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lampung).

In 1993, Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani is believed to be a civil servant lecturer assigned to the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Lampung.

Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani is optimistic about advancing as a candidate for rector of the University of Lampung for the 2023-2027 period due to the background of various problems that must be resolved. Academic and non-academic.

Another problem, publications and citations per lecturer are still relatively low, downstreaming and commercialization of research results is still low and student participation in MBKM needs to be increased.

For non-academic issues, PNBP is still dominated by student income (UKT), potential assets have not been utilized to increase income and activity plans and budgets are still not optimal in their operations.

Then, the readiness and utilization (utilization) of laboratory infrastructure is still very low, many lecturers and students are about to retire and demands for better welfare for lecturers and students.
