Mark Zuckerberg, through his personal Facebook account, announced that the latest paid service they created had the aim of verifying the blue tick.

The paid service is referred to as "Meta Verified."

"This week we launched Meta Verified," wrote Marc Zuckerberg on his personal Facebook account.

"A subscription service that allows you to be able to verify accounts with a government ID, get a blue badge, get extra protection against impersonator accounts claiming to be you, and get direct access to customer support," Mark continued in his writing.

Later, a paid service known as "Meta Verified" will give a blue tick to users of the social media applications Facebook and Instagram.

For the tariff, the company sets the price at 11.99 US dollars per month. This price is equivalent to IDR 182 thousand for purchases via the web.

The tariff is of course different if "Meta Verified" is purchased through the Android or iOS application, because the tariff is US$14.99 or the equivalent of IDR 227 thousand.

The "Meta Verified" feature is currently still in the testing phase for Facebook and Instagram application users who are in Australia and New Zealand.

Launching from the Verge page, the "Meta Verified" feature still requires several conditions so that Facebook and Instagram users can register for this program.

The general requirement is that users be at least 18 years old.

Furthermore, the user is also required to send a KTP (Resident Identity Card) that matches the name and photo he has on his Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Meanwhile, the social media application Twitter is known to have already implemented a subscription service for accounts marked with a blue checkmark.
