Gold prices jumped more than 1 percent on Friday to a seven-month high as treasury yields fell and the dollar fell after U.S. economic data reinforced expectations of a less hawkish Fed, setting the metal on course for a third week in a row.

Pot gold jumped 1.9 percent to $1,867.18 per troy ounce at 1843 GMT, the highest since June 13 last year.

Prices have risen by around 2.1 percent so far this week and the most since Sunday, December 2, 2023. (*)
