This was conveyed by Deputy Regent of East Lampung, Azwar Hadi, when opening a cross-program or cross-sector meeting and a stunting locus on Thursday, December 5, 2022.

The meeting that was held in the hall of the Sukadana Islamic Center was for the dissemination and publication of stunting data at the East Lampung Regency level.

Azwar Hadi said that the existence of this locus does not mean that other villages do not have stunting cases.

However, this locus is a major concern in the prevention and reduction of stunting.

"Efforts to reduce stunting are not only the responsibility of the Health Service or one particular agency. "But it is a shared responsibility," said Azwar at the event, which was also attended by the Head of the East Lampung PKK Mobilization Team, Yus Bariah.

Therefore, villages that are not a fixed locus of stunting must be a concern. This is so that there is no potential for new cases to arise and that East Lampung's stunting rate will decrease.

On the same occasion, Yus Bariah, the Head of the East Lampung PKK Mobilization Team, stated that it has been a source of stunting since 2019.

According to Yus, in 2022, there will be 25 villages spread across 12 sub-districts that will become stunting loci. Meanwhile, in 2023, there will be 15 clusters of stunting villages spread across six sub-districts.

Continuing, based on the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) in East Lampung Regency, there was a decrease of 10.82 percent. That is, from 26.12 percent in 2019, it will drop to 15.3 percent in 2021.

The results are quite encouraging. However, this figure has not yet reached the target of the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), which is 14 percent. (*)
