Bird flu (FB), also known as avian influenza (AI), is an infectious disease in poultry.

This infectious disease in poultry is caused by Influenza Virus Type A.

It is claimed that influenza virus type A can infect various animal species.

Various animal species can be infected with this type A influenza virus, such as pigs, horses, and marine mammals.

Although generally only transmitted to animals, humans must also remain vigilant against this virus.

Meanwhile, the virus that needs to be watched out for is the HBNI virus, which is classified as highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI).

The Avian Influenza H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b virus causes the bird flu disease that appears at this time.

As of 2020, there have been six cases of human influenza A (H5N1) belonging to clade 2.3.4.4b that have been reported to the WHO.
