RADARLAMPUNG.CO.ID - Susi Air's pioneer flight at Muhammad Taufiq Kiemas Airport, Pekon Seray, Pesisir Tengah District, West Coast, was officially terminated, Wednesday 21 December 2022.

Susi Air airline flight termination is based on a letter received from Person in Charge (PIC) Susi Air Padang Number: 012/ASIPA-PDG/I/2022 dated 9 December 2022 regarding notification of flight termination.

According to the Head of the Airport Service Unit Muhammad Taufiq Kiemas Muhammad Subandi, based on the letter, Susi Air flights ended today.

"Today is the last flight for the route from Taufiq Kiemas Airport to Raden Intan II Airport," said Subandi.

Subandi revealed, based on the letter, from December 22 to early 2023, no flights will be made at Muhammad Taufiq Kiemas Airport.

"So, starting from tomorrow, until a deadline that cannot be determined, there will be no Susi Air flight, which will be the only flight at Muhammad Taufiq Kiemas Airport," he said.

Even so, in early 2023, Susi Air will continue to serve flights at the airport. Currently still waiting for the signing of the contract.

"The plan is in January 2023, Susi Air will resume. But for the exact time, we don't know yet because we are still waiting for the contract first," he explained.

Continuing, Susi Air airline flights at Muhammad Taufiq Kiemas Airport receive subsidies from the central government.

Flights take place twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday.

With this subsidy, airline ticket prices are quite affordable. So far, the number of passengers can be said to be quite a lot and the plane is always filled during flights.

Subandi hopes that flights at Muhammad Taufiq Kiemas Airport in 2023 can attract more passengers. Moreover, the distance between Krui and Bandar Lampung is only 30 minutes.
