Subandi stated, if the number of passengers increases or the demand for air transportation services is high, it is possible that there will be additional flight schedules.

Meanwhile, according to the contract for 2022 with the airline Susi Air, the flight schedule is twice a week. That is Wednesday and Saturday.

"If demand increases, later it could be scheduled for more than two flights a week. We hope this pioneering flight can continue to operate," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the West Coast Transportation Service (Dishub) Nurman Hakim said the district administration welcomed the resumption of pioneer flights at M. Taufiq Kiemas Airport.

The existence of air transportation will greatly help the people on the West Coast and outside the region.

Because apart from being economical, it will also be faster for destinations to Bandarlampung and Krui. In addition, it can support the tourism potential of the West Coast.

“The district government will continue to support. Hopefully it can be improved again with larger aircraft, such as Wings Air, which has also previously operated at this airport," he said.
