Ijen Crater is one of the tourist destinations in Banyuwangi that is popular among nature lovers with adrenaline-pumping activities.

Ijen Crater attracts local and foreign tourists with the experience of climbing the mountain to see the famous turquoise lake with a phenomenon called electric blue fire.

For the blue fire phenomenon, tourists need to climb Mount Ijen, which has an altitude of about 2,433 metres above sea level. 

The blue fire phenomenon is the result of the reaction of sulfur gas mixed with oxygen at a certain temperature which produces a blue gas phenomenon like a tongue of fire.

Blue fire burns in the crater of the summit of Mount Ijen. To reach the summit, tourists have to walk 3 kilometres for 2 to 3 hours.

Although it has a fairly difficult hiking trail, but all will pay off with the natural beauty that can be enjoyed at an altitude of 2,433.
